Joella: Joella was so excited. Though every night was family dinner night for the whole carnival, tonight was special. She had grown up hearing about this Soup-er Bowl all the time. She never knew what it was but she decided to have one of her own tonight. It was a special bread bowl soup night and there was actually a lot of people together here to eat at once rather than a few every now and then. It was perfect. The cook stood behind her line and smiled as everyone finally sat down and started eating. Jo finally got her own bowl and soup. Her kids sat beside Doodles and all the other children of the carnival, Cambri making sure she was beside the girls.

Keir: Keir had come to the event more for the socialization than the food. He did grab a bowl of the meatiest one he could find. He was currently picking out pieces of beef and letting Skelter and Heru munch on them. He tried a few of the potatoes and the broth was really good. Listening to the chatter around the tent was calming, and he regretted slightly that he couldn't eat more of Joella's cooking. He saw her and waved.

Doodles: He was sat among the children like always, but tonight seemed way more energetic. Joella was excited for some reason and it showed, and he was happy all the same. He and their children helped set up the tables while she cooked and made sure to invite everyone in the carnival tonight. His bowl was in front of him, untouched as he waited patiently for Joella to join them to being eating.

Emily: She was sitting near where Joella was, she had picked out a few soups that she knew that her two kids would like. Aizen was eating his soup rather messily while Alice was giggling at him. "Mama, he's making a mess again." Emily sighed and wiped her mouth gently. "Aizen, be more careful alright?" Aizen nods and looked over at Joella. "What's a soupy bowl?"

Teagan: She absentmindedly stabbed at her bread bowl, head propped up on an arm as stared off into space, half-listening to the sounds around her. Her appetite had suddenly flared up, defeating her desire to stay in her tent, but now that she was here she found it she no longer really had the stomach for food.

Chad: Chad sat as far back in the corner of the room as possible, trying to make is presence invisible. He scowled, mostly at himself. Why was he here? He had plenty of other things to do. He didn't even LIKE sports. They caused unnecessary injury in the name of "fun" and "competition". It was idiotic. He grumbled to himself, insulting the creators of such barbaric sports.

Joella:With her bowl in hand, Jo made her way to the table. She stood at the head of the table and looked out over everyone. The smile on her face grew and she even gave an excited wiggle as she saw so many people actually here. It was nice to see the carnies who didn't even eat here too. She looked to Aizen, getting ready to attempt an answer at his question as best she could without being able to talk, but her eyes fell on the tent entrance and she just froze. Her bread bowl fell from her hand and it the ground with a splat.

Keir: Now that the kids had had something to eat he got up and left them in the company of the other kids. He noticed Chad sitting off by himself and shook his head. He walked over and sat down next to him. Commenting, mostly in good humor, that it was warmer further into the tent near the others. Knowing full well that the doctor wouldn't venture in anymore than he had already.

Kat: Kat hummed tunelessly as she wandered into the tent. She knew she couldn't eat the food, but she was darn well going to try today. Looking around she noticed Kier and Chad sitting in a back area of the tent and she decided to wander over. With a huge smile on her face she plopped down next to Kier.

Sterling: The cyborg walked in to the tent through a side door and hovered near it for a moment, watching the various carnies-coworkers- wander around the room. Huh, so they do stuff like this too. I've never been backstage before. Too bad Randall is still too rusted to move. He wandered over to the buffet of bread bowls and soups. "Hmmm, looks good. Warm soup is a good idea in this cold weather," Sterling muttered as he pulled his fluffy brown jacket tighter around him. A soft splatter-thump resounded from behind him, and he turned to see a purple-haired woman with a bread bowl of soup splashed across her feet. Aww, poor soup.

Joella: Though it had always been there in the background, there was a howling coming closer and growing louder. Suddenly, Ivor shot through the back door. He and Doodles didn't always see eye to eye and he tended to stay away from Doodles, but not tonight. "Joella! He's here!" Ivor yelled as he landed on the buffet counter behind Joella. Just as fast as Ivor, the family's massive Saint Bernard, Hugo Marv (HM) shot through the back door of the tent, growling and barking like a mad dog. He ran out of the kitchen and down the middle of the dining area but he froze in mid jump half way through the tent. There in the door stood him. Clemency Enrwow. He just looked at the miss matched group eating dinner together, a slight smirk on his face as his eyes fell on Jo and Doodles. "Hello you two. It's been a while."

Doodles: He stood up as everyone announced who it was that came in. He glared the nastiest glare he could manage at him, but he stood frozen. He didn't know what he was here for, couldn't know, it was so hard to read him, but there was a chance now. With so many carnies, and just his smug ass. He managed a wry smirk. He chuckled and stood up on the table, glaring right at Clem. "Welcome to the Carnival De Securite."

Emily: She sat confused, not knowing whom the newcomer was. But judging by the look Doodles gave him he wasn't a kindly face. She held her kids close to her just in case. Looking over at Joella for an explanation of whom this stranger was.

Teagan: Glancing up at the stranger, Teagan had no idea who he was, but something about his smirk somehow pissed her off anyway. She politely dabbed at her mouth with a napkin, set aside her silverware, and asked. "Who the fuck is that."

Chad: During a pleasant conversation with Keir (involving an embarrassing explanation that involved a pun Chad thought was terrible and completely un-witty), a strange man suddenly entered, effectively interrupting the entire tent's festivities. Chad watched carefully for the group's reactions. It could be that this was an unknown newcomer, but based off Joella and Doodle's reactions, he'd venture to say otherwise. The presence the stranger brought was threatening, making everyone uneasy. Chad was in a unique position however, in a place largely unnoticed. He decided to wait, watch, then decide the proper course of action...

T.L.: Food, and anything related to it, was not one of T.L.'s strongest suites any longer. It had been far too long since he actually ate anything, and frankly, even the delicious scents that came out of Joella's kitchen didn't arouse much out of the stomach-less Frenchman anymore. But he was polite, and quite frankly adored the purple haired mute, so he had come to visit the rest of the carnies. It had been so quiet for him since his son had fallen off the moving van and T.L. was looking forward to finally getting a chance to talk to everyone. That is until he recognized the stranger at the tents opening. Not the person himself, per-se, but the feeling that filled the room the moment he came in. It had only been a week since his son vanished and already some kind of other-worldy shit was about to start up. T.L. sighed deeply and slumped into a chair, waiting for the events to unfold.

Joella: Jo stood frozen as she looked into those horrible pink eyes. Why now? She finally moved and hid behind Doodles. She didn’t know what else to do. Clemency just walked into the tent like he owned the place. He scratched HM’s head as he walked past the frozen dog. His smirk grew as he looked at the children. “You know. I never got to really see these three. They’re practically my grand-kids,” Clemency cooed as he smiled at the kids. “Your little Cambri Marie looks old enough to have a curse of her own now. Maybe we’ll tie her to Daddy?” Clemency looked to Doodles and smirked more. He raised his staff, the pink egg shaped stone on top glowing. Ivor saw his moment and took it. He shot past Jo’s head and dug his talons into Clem’s face. “THIS CURSE ENDS TODAY! YOU WILL NOT HARM JO AGAIN!” the bird yelled, and seemed to be ready to say more, but Clemency smacked him away. The wizard let out a cackle as he healed his own face. “What is a band of misfits going to do to stop me?!”

Keir: The feel of bad magic radiated over the kids table making the twins shake in fear. Heru's new found magic kicked in again at it's presence. A protective bubble automatically enveloped them and all the kids around them. Keir didn't know what was going on or even how to proceed at this moment, so he quietly slunk back to the entrance the man had come through. Effectively blocking it off.

Kat: Small sparks of magic crackled around Kat in defense against the newcomer. Why did my draochta start up? With a confused look on her face she looked around at everyone. She saw Kier move to block one of the entrances and she realized the newcomer must be a bad person. She quietly pulled out some of her magic-infused thread, just in case.

Sterling: "Damn, I knew I should've brought my lazer gun to dinner. Always a good conversation piece," he muttered as he rummaged in his pockets for parts and inspiration. He pulled out a small sphere and handed it to the purple-haired woman in front of him, "Here. Portable shield. Just twist to turn it on and off, covers 2-3 people," Sterling instructed as he threw the contents of a crock pot on the floor and began disassembling it, "Anyone have any suggestions on what I should build? Can be pretty much anything, as long as there's enough metal for it."

Doodles: He drew out his knives, ready to go all out on this fucker, but he waved one of his butterfly knives around, getting everyone's attention with the clacking weapon. "LISTEN UP! THIS FUCKER RIGHT HERE IS THE REASON JOELLA CAN'T TALK. HE KILLED HER ENTIRE FAMILY BECAUSE HE *he points at Ivor, collapsed on the floor* GOT TOO CLOSE AND HE BOUND THEM TOGETHER IN THIS STUPID FUCKING CURSE!!! BUT WE CAN END THIS RIGHT NOW. IF EITHER OF THEM GET THE KILL THEIR CURSE BREAKS!! DON'T LET THAT STOP YOU FROM ROUGHING HIM UP THOUGH!LET'S MAKE THIS ASSHOLE PAY!!!! Doodles smiled viciously, and with that he cloaked himself entirely with his glamour, completely vanishing before he threw a row of knives at their guest.

Joella: Jo was a little surprised as the cyborg handed her some random thing. She hadn’t met him before but she was happy to have the new shield when Doodles disappeared infront of her. She turned the shield on but she didn’t keep it. She handed it to Dell, the bravest of her kids, and signed to him quickly to get the children into the kitchen and away from the fight. She swallowed her fear and looked to Clemency, who smacked away the knives Doodles through at her. Her eyes actually started to glow, but it was like when she was possessed… Clemency just looked at everyone, letting out another laugh. “I still don’t see how you think you’re going to win!” He stood up and waved his staff through the air, causing a pink glow to surround him. “You are messing with powerful magic, children!”

Emily: She begun to get angry towards Clem, just hearing Doodles tell everyone about him making Jo lose her voice was bad enough but killing her family? To her that crossed the line. Bright red flames formed on her tail rather then blue ones. She was pissed, she felt horns sprout from her head as she was turning into her Demon form.

Teagan: "Oh. Hm. Well then," Teagan responded to Doodles's very generous explanation. She hadn't been expecting a fight, nor had she any desire for one, nor had she expected this man to be responsible for such grievance in Joella's life. After some thought, she slowly stood up. "If you insist." With that she ran up and punched him in the jaw, putting her full weight behind it so you could hear the impact of metal on bone.

Chad:There was a lot of yelling, some confusing gadgets, magic and unnecessary soup spilling. In other words, it was chaos. Chad tried his best to take in the situation, but the fact that this was the man behind Joella's missing voice was more distracting then he'd care to admit. Joella was a lovely lady, and Chad had always thought her missing voice was a great offense upon the world. He could tell she always had so much to say… But this man had ruined both her's and Ivor's lives. This man must be stopped. But Chad wasn't an idiot. The others may yell brashly and swing their fists, but Chad knew that what they needed in addition to brute strength, was a planned strategy. Joella or Ivor were the ones who needed to make the final blow, so how could they make that happen...

T.L.: T.L. was shocked: things were escalating extremely quickly tonight. The overall presence of the pink-clad magician had worn off on the dead-man and changed from threatening to down right annoying. Did this twat truly believe he was stronger then the rest of them standing in the tent? T.L. rolled his eyes, and tried to find something useful to do. The children had shields and were escaping, almost everyone else had some kind of weapon or strength he knew could protect him, well, except the psychotic doctor, so what could T.L. do to help?

Joella: Clemency stumbled back, not expecting one of the little ants to actually hurt him. He held his jaw as he looked at the odd creature. Teagan’s hit had left him open for attack, as he slightly realized maybe this was a bad idea. Jo on the other hand looked at Clemency, but the look in her solid purple eyes seemed to be burning through Clem rather than looking at him. “This ends tonight!” Jo said. But it wasn’t Jo really. To Doodles, wherever he was in the tent, he recognized the voices coming out of Jo’s body as a mixture of Zena and Nathan, Jo’s parents. Finally, Ivor picked himself up off the floor. He launched himself at Clemency again, this time from behind and pulling at his hair.

Kier: Keir took this moment to act, the opening was perfect. Being the biggest person in the room he used it and his strength as an advantage over the present threat. Keir sprinted across the room and grabbed the man, locking him in place with his own limbs. Hunting instincts came flooding back from when he used to kill people. It wasn't hard to physically overpower them and pin their arms behind them. Keir fell back onto the ground, sitting a bit upright. Clemency was now effectively stuck in front of him with arms and legs trapped by Keir's own. “Miss Joella, please do what you need to. I can hold him.” He growled primally when the man struggled in his grasp.

Kat: Kat's magic continued to crackle around her as everyone moved into action. She watched carefully to find an opportunity to be helpful. She found her opportunity to move in when Kier practically tackled the bad man. Perfect! She rushed forward toward Kier and the man with her magic-infused thread. Upon reaching them she did her best not to tie Kier to the man as she tried to help bond his arms so he couldn't move. "These should help hold him." she said, mostly for Kier's benefit.

Sterling: "Ooh, perfect opening," he smiled as he saw the rainbow girl and tentacle-hat guy secure the pink asshole. Sterling jogged over to the purple-haired woman he'd seen drop her soup, who he was pretty sure was 'Jo,' "I think you'll be needing this. I don't know whose crock pots those were, but I'm sorry about the soup. And the disassembled pots." He apologized as he handed over a quickly-crafted rapier. "And does the bird, uh, Ivor? Need these?" Sterling asked, holding up a few simple metal talons.

Joella: Jo turned to Sterling and looked at the rapier that was now in her hand. She gave him a smile and in her twisted voice spoke. "Thank you, dearie. And Magnuson will not be needing those talons." Clemency just looked around. He was now on the ground being held down by two freaks. "LET GO OF ME!" he screamed as he struggled but with Keir's strength and Kat's magic, there was nothing he could do to get out. He looked around panicked. "NO! THIS WASN'T SUPPOSED TO HAPPEN!!" Jo hung back, but her eyes faded back to normal as she realized she didn't need her parents here in her own fight now. She had her friends.

Emily: She smiled widely, watching Jo handle it along with Kat and Keir holding down the pink ass. Slowly she returned to normal, but blood flowed from her mouth from being in her demon form too long, though she didn't seem too worried about it being used to the side affect of her demon form.

Doodles: He smiled as he heard the familiar voices of Joella's parents. They needed their vengeance too, and the whole carnival was helping them get it. He stayed hidden, and away from the bunch. There wasn't much else he could do now. He threw a secret glare at the new guy, he wanted to arm Joella, but it was just as well. He knew he was useless in fighting this guy, he always had been. At least it was going to be over now...

T.L.: Stunned at the carnies quick responses, T.L.'s own courage finally lit itself up. At least enough for him to take the chance to do something quite beside himself. Leaping quickly T.L. snatched a different crockpot, it's boiling hot contents sloshing over the sides. Taking quick steps towards Keir and Kat he warned them he was coming. "You might want to move, mes amis," he called out, giving them enough time to move as he dumped the scalding hot contents of the soup all over the pink man.

T.L.: The soup just wasn't enough it seemed for T.L.. Something inside him reawakened during this chaotic fight - something that had been locked away for a long, long time. Grasping the now empty crockpot over the screaming man's head, T.L. slammed it down as hard as he could against him - slipping on the soup and falling to the side in the process. The crockpot had a sizable dent in it.

Joella: Jo nearly let out an audible laugh, but she definitely snorted as she watched T.L. fight. It was weird to see her nervous boss actually fighting. Clem’s screams filled the tent. He wasn’t able to do anything to fight against these creatures since the living doll wrapped string around him. It was just stupid string, but he couldn’t break it! Jo slowly walked up to Clem, pressing the tip of her new sword into his skin. Ivor landed on her shoulder, avoiding the soup from T.L. He glared down at Clemency. Ivor held Clemency’s gaze, but Jo looked about, hesitating a bit as she looked for Doodles. “Get out here, Doodles. Or this will be all for nothing. Jo needs you, child,” Ivor called as he heard Jo’s thoughts faltering from the task at hand. Clemency smirked. “I knew you weren’t a killer, Joella. And you won’t be getting your magic back. You’re not crazy enough to eat a heart like your little Doodles.”

Keir: He had stepped aside when T.L. approached them. Then stood absolutely flabbergasted at what the meek little man did next. Looking on in shock Keir decided that T.L. had a backbone after all, and for the first time earned a few points in his book. It didn't seem like he was needed from then on so he made his way over to the children. He was pretty sure most of them needed to be distracted from what was happening. But not before he heard what Clemency said. An idea popped into his head. “Hey Miss Joella! Is there any rule to cooking the heart before you eat it? I mean we are in a dining hall after all!”

Kat: Kat, who couldn't move out of the way fast enough, was now drenched in soup. ...fantastic... she thought as she tried to rub it off her face as she moved backwards out of the way again. Completely forgetting her eyes were painted on, she accidentally rubbed them blurry. ...and now i can't see... She sighed and tried to follow Kier's voice to where the kid's were.

Sterling: Sterling stepped back and grabbed a bread bowl, munching on it as everything seemed to be going smoothly. Hmm, I could probably still save that crock pot... His gaze was torn from the pot T.L. dented when he noticed the rainbow girl stumbling sort of in his direction-towards the tentacle hat guy and the children. But there was something wrong with her face? "Uh, are you okay?" Sterling asked before taking another bite of the bowl.

Emily: She suddenly remembered that Chad had wanted a sample of Clem's blood for himself to study and do whatever he wanted with it. She formed a large needle out of thin air and stepped close to him, sticking it firmly into his arm. She did it somewhat painfully and wiggled the needle out of his arm before tucking it safely away for later. Before moving from him, she formed a red flame and flicked it onto his hair, smiling. "Sorry but you don't deserve candy for your "checkup"." She smiles and goes over to her children whom were being protected by Heru's force field.

Doodles: Doodles snickered. Even T.L. was getting in on the torture? No way, he HAD to join in now. He reappeared before Clem, seconds before he sank one of his blades into his cheek. It felt like he caught a few teeth too. He slid the blade to the other side, slitting him ear to ear. The fire and the wounds were enough to have him writing in agony, but Doodles still gave one well placed kick into his gut to have him yell and rip open his wounds even more. He'd do more, but this wasn't his kill. He placed the bloody knife in Joella's hands and smiled at her. "You know what to do. This fucker doesn't know you at all."

Joella:A small part of Jo wanted to look away from the hideous monster before her now, but she couldn't. She looked to Doodles and gave him a nod and quick peck on the cheek. Clem lay on the ground, half on fire, half covered in soup and gasping for words. He couldn't be dying. They were just freaks compared to how great he was. He couldn't be dying! A few tears actually fell from his eyes as he almost spoke a final word. As Jo pulled back from her kiss, She thrust the rapier through Clem's stomach and knelt down beside him quickly. He was going to hear her speak. With surprisingly deft slices, Jo cut open Clem's chest, not minding the bones at all. Before Clemency was done screaming from the rapier in his stomach, Jo was slicing out his heart. Though she wanted to cook it like Keir suggested, she didn't want to possibly lose the magic inside. Taking a bite and covering her face in blood, she looked Clem in his fading eyes. "I win." Jo whispered to Clemency. Ivor tumbled off of Jo's shoulder and was enveloped in a glow only to be transformed into his human body (but no one cares about Ivor). Jo stood up, wiping her mouth before she turned to Doodles. She stared him in the eyes and said her first official words. "I love you, Doodles."

Keir: Keir swung his head around at the new voice, delighted to find that it belonged to Joella. Mr. Ivor had also been affected it seemed. He was happy for both of them.

Doodles: He almost couldn't believe his eyes, Joella was actually killing him. He smiled, he supposed he taught her well, or perhaps her skill with kitchen knives translated well to his. Whatever reason he couldn't help smiling until the bird fell from her shoulder. He threw the remainder of his knives into his shoulder and growled, " Stay down...." His attention to him was quickly pulled away as Joella stood before him, and spoke her first words. The words she always swore she'd say first to him. He couldn't believe it. He gasped and held her close. " I love you too Joella!" His lips met hers, and there was no way a little blood was going to ruin their first, curse-less kiss.

Joella: Ivor didn’t move, as much as he wanted to stand up out of the soup and away from the fire, he didn’t move. Joella laughed a little as she hardly could believe it herself that she was actually speaking. It was a real dream come true. She happily returned Doodles’s kiss, not minding the blood at all. When she did pull away, she went to cleaning herself up. Joella wiped down her hands on her outershirt and peeled it off. She had only taken one bite from the heart, but she felt all the magic flow into her, so she tossed it aside and wiped her face down too with her shirt before throwing it aside too. She slowly walked around the buffet table and looked at her kids, still in Sterling’s shield. She smiled at them, tears coming to her eyes. “My babies. I love you so much.” She said. The three looked at Joella stunned before their eyes lit up and ran to their mother cheering, “Mama’s got her voice back!”
I have to say, this was one of the longest, most violent, and satisfying RP we've done in the chat. I'm so thrilled so many of you were able to make it to this one. It was a packed house!

Bit more of a party than our little visitor was expecting, sadly however he didn't stay long... IMing: Evil Laugh

And as always! THANK YOU to all you wonderful carnies for a wonderful RP!

WHOOOOOOOOO :dummy: and we get to see Ivor as a human again
